Cultivating Resilience in the Classroom

Live Online Workshop via Zoom

These workshops are for educators who want to help their students develop the resilience to meet challenges with an “I got this!” attitude, rather than collapsing into an “I’m terrible'“ defeat.

True learning demands ongoing focus, taking risks, meeting challenges, thinking creatively, collaborating respectfully, and... stamina. Learning is hard work and, for many students, it’s quite an uncomfortable process!

So, how can we help our students remain engaged in the learning process without spinning out, tuning out or shutting down?

In this workshop, you’ll learn…

  • A variety of simple, effective and developmentally appropriate exercises to help students meet stressful situations and challenging experiences without getting overwhelmed

  • The science behind why these exercises work and how they strengthen executive functioning skills

  • How to offer students First Aid support when they are struggling with BIG emotions so they can find their footing before taking any next steps (Spoiler Alert: It's not saying, "Let it go" or taking calming breaths.)

  • How to help students develop greater self-awareness so they discover what best supports them and their learning process

  • How to create a classroom environment that fosters a growth mindset and enables students to exercise a growth mindset

  • How to engage your students so they experience learning as a fun, exploratory and interactive process

Effort + Time + Patience = Growth
